Carl Zeiss Jena 5cm f/1.5 CRF lens converted to Leica M mount with full RF coupling from 1m to Infinity. Polished silver finish. Lens is double coated (T coating without the T engraving).
Mechanics: Fully ultrasonically cleaned. Polished silver finish with black fonts. Aperture ring is chrome plated brass. Sub optical block is brass. New synthetic greases used inside aperture control and helicoid system. LTM to M Bayonet: 6-Bit Coded
There is some minor damage to the vanity ring, near the last 2-3 digits of the serial number. Some of the black paint is worn away in this area, exposing the under brass.
Optics: Very good condition for age. There is the usual micro air bubbles inside from usage of early German Schott glass. There are coating cleaning marks, mostly inside the lens on the second element set (see photos). The coating marks don’t affect the image quality. Front element has a few minor scratches/ marks. There is a very small chip, about 2mm, towards the far outer edge of the front element (near the ‘J’ on Jena). This chip is outside the image circle for 35mm film/ full frame cameras, it does not affect the image quality. Rear element is excellent condition.
Would advise using a front filter at all times to continue to protect the front element.
