The Skyllaney Opto-Mechanics MkII conversion of the classic CY 50mm f/1.4 Planar T* is now available.
We now accept pre-order requests for the Planar conversions.
Simply fill out our pre-order request form with your information and choices. After submitting a pre-order request you will be sent an invoice for 50% deposit for the conversion. This reserves your service slot, choice of imperial font colour and leatherette insert choice.
If you will be sending you Planar to us for conversion, your existing Planar must have no fungus, no oil on the aperture blades, and be in good, usable condition. If your lens arrives in less than optical condition, the conversion will incur additional costs or, in some cases, the order will have to be cancelled.
Commissioning of a Planar conversion to be created (we supply the lens) starts at £999 plus shipping.
NOTE: At the moment, we don’t accept pre-orders for this type of conversion, due to lens supply issues. However, please feel free to contact us by clicking the button below if you would like us to place you on a waiting list for a Planar conversion where we supply the lens:
Sending in your existing (working condition) Planar for conversion starts at £699 plus shipping.
Once you complete a pre-order request, we’ll contact you within 24 hrs with shipping information and additional details.
Replacing rubber grip with leatherette – £50 extra.
*Please note: We convert used Zeiss 50mm f/1.4 T* Planar lenses for CY mount. The availability of these lenses in various conditions is always a factor. We only sell converted Planars that have excellent to mint condition glass. Any Planars that have fungus, haze, oil on the aperture blades or scratches, are not fit for conversion. However, there may be small cosmetic blemishes on the front exterior body, as these lenses are over 30+ years old. In most cases, we refuse to sell converted lenses that have unsightly aesthetic parts on any of our custom offerings. However, they may have small nicks in the anodising, minor dust inclusion, or other minor cosmetic marks, simply due to the fact it is no longer possible to procure them new.
